The Teenage Years

From the time Paul was a young boy up until adulthood he was chased by the opposite sex. Understandably, with his striking blue eyes, messy blonde hair, chiseled features, bright smile and incredible charisma it's no wonder he has made the opposite sex swoon from such a young age. He has admitted that in his boyhood years girls chased him in the school yard endlessly and in his teenage years he began to chase them although he never had to do much chasing. As I have mentioned earlier, Paul said that his main interest in life was surfing, girls and having fun.
When he was done high school he apparently attended various colleges and lived the homeless life according to Liberty Voice http://guardianlv.com/2013/12/paul-walker-was-homeless-in-college-sent-hate-mail-for-shelter-movie/ and would produced his friend Brandon Birtell's documentary about homelessness in Santa Barbara, California in his late thirties.
While in the California Community College and Santa Barbara City College, Paul majored in his next greatest passion, marine biology. During this time period it's said that Paul spent money faster than he could make it and ended up with extensive credit card debt. He has said in interviews that during this time he worked at UPS and thought that might be where he would work for quite some time before he could start his career in Marine Biology, he felt that he wasn't making enough money to be able to take his girl out on dates only getting paid minimum wage so he took to asking people for money in the parking lot of California's amusement park Magic Mountain. He would tell visitors that he and his girlfriend were down from Sacramento and couldn't get in because they were "short a few bucks". Paul says he ended up making so much money that he had to go back to his truck, which was parked outside of the parking lot, drive it back in and started asking people for more money. Eventually security caught on and he was banned from the park.   It was due to his lack of funds though that made him decide to continue to pursue acting and his dreams of become a marine biologist was side tracked when he won the role of Skip Martin in Pleasantville. He originally took the role to continue to pay for his college education, but after his incredible good looks and on screen charisma was noticed, he was offered more roles and his acting career took off.

His Younger Years

My goal here is to tell the story of Paul Walker's life. We all know what movies he was in and the story of his steady rise to fame and I will go through his career as that was obviously a huge part of his life but, I want to focus on the man behind the actor.
Paul Walker was born Paul William Walker IV on September 12, 1973 in Glendale, California to his sewer contractor father Paul Walker III and his model mother Cheryl Walker (Crabtree). He has 3 siblings, Ashlee, Caleb and Cody.
He was a looker even back then and his mother took him along on modeling jobs where the little cutie was noticed by her agent and asked to bring him in for his own auditions.

From diaper commercials to coke commercials, The Young and the Restless to The Fast and The Furious franchise his career in the lime light took off from a young age and didn't seem set to end.
Paul Walker grew up in a Mormon household and went to Village Christian School in Sun Valley, California which is a small private Christian school with only 1000 students. Fellow students remember Paul as being warm and accepting. The kind of person who tried to make other people feel like they belonged. He didn't run in cliques and was willing to be friends with anyone.
The fact that Paul grew up in a Mormon household and spent his young years attending a Christian school from kindergarten to his senior years would instill in Paul a strong set of beliefs and morals that would help mold the man he would become in later years. He did grow up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints but would become a non-denominational Christian in his adult years.  Just to give you a very basic idea of some of the practises of Mormon's, they are expected to abstain from alcohol, coffee, tea and tobacco and are expected to live by a strict moral code which prohibits adultery and any sexual relations before marriage.
During Paul's high school years he was more interested in football, surfing and girls than anything else. Although, he still appeared in various tv shows and at the tender age of 10 made his big screen debut in the 1986 horror spoof Monster in the Closet as professor Bennet. The following is a youtube link to an edited video cut of Paul's scenes in the movie  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xxuxo4JPFMM . Paul also appeared in various tv shows such as Highway to Heaven and the short lived tv sitcom throb. To view  Paul's full filmography visit http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0908094/ .

As a teenager Paul would appear in Charles in Charge, Who's the Boss and the Young and the Restless but his heart was still not set on being an actor. He admitted to being a pothead surfer who was known to juggle girls and getting into trouble on occasion.

Paul has gone on record to say that at the age of 16 he was living on his own, I have always wondered why nobody ever asked him why. 16 is a very young age for anyone to suddenly be completely responsible for their own care. He has said from the age of 16 to 32 he let a transient life, living mostly out of suitcases. For many of his earlier years he lived on friends couches or out of their garages. But, my question is why. It is obvious that his parents at some point in his life were divorced as they are presently both living in separate homes. But, why would Paul choose to go out on his own at the young age  of 16 when he has talked about having such a close nit family? I do recall reading an interview some years ago where Paul talked about getting in legal trouble when he was a teenager. He would not go into details or discuss what kind of trouble that he got into, only that acting saved his life and most likely prevented him from ending up in jail or worse. So, I have always wondered was it family trouble at home? The disintegration of his parents marriage that drove him out of the house or was it because he lived the part of the troubled youth and was kicked out? My thought is that there had to be some motivation on Paul's part to cause him to leave his home so young. Regardless of the reasons, Paul was able create a wonderful, interesting life for himself and become the man he was.
